/8. Can you believe it - bloody K-Mart reckon it was too big a job for them to fix the truck and gave us the finger basically!! We had to find someone else who, besides Toyota, could do the job in quick time. We found just the place, Peter Coles in Palmerston. The logistics of hiring a car and getting all the stuff we needed out of the truck was getting silly so we splashed out and stayed in a Motel in Darwin for the night. This meant we got to go to Mindel Markets again!

/8 The saga continues..... We had to hang around Darwin again anxiously waiting to here if the garage could get the parts ok and get the job done by the end of the day, or if we had to wait until Monday. The thought of having to stay in a Motel for 2 more nights was dreadful! We had breakfast at the 'beach' did a bit of shopping, and lunched at the Botanic Gardens. A nice day that ended with a call from the. garage saying it was fixed, Yippee!!!!!!! We got the heck out of Darwin and Palmerston as quick as we could and headed back for the peace and quite of Batchelor again.

&7/8 Now that we were free to carry on we decided to go back to Robin Falls. As Steve was now feeling much better we were able to do a lovely walk and swim in the river. 2 days of heaven.

/8. We had a hot tip by Blake at Batchelor of a hot springs not too far from Robin Falls. It turned out to be a great spot and we had our first 'bath' since leaving home. It was fantastic. We got provisions at Katherine and are now back in Mataranka for the night. We will now be heading for Inniminka. The only problem with leaving Darwin is that for the first time in 3 weeks we have had to put our jumpers on again!!! We are not looking forward to going back into the 'cold zone'.
Mataranka? Inniminka? The girl from Ipanema goes walking...
